Calling all Women in Business!

The conference this year will be held in White’s [...]

enterprise week
I posted previously upon the idea of hosting an Enterprise Week as part of the ’spirit of enterprise’ initiative (http://kilkennyceb.wordpress.com/2007/05/15/spirit-of-enterprise/).
The ‘Spirit of Enterprise Action Group’ just met this morning (Thurs 24th May) and we have agreed that Enterprise Week will take place from 1st to 5th October 2007, across the south east.
The main objectives of Enterprise Week are to:
raise awareness [...]

the bottom line
I received a late call-up to ‘the bottom line’ radio programme on KCLR96FM yesterday evening to talk about the nc4c. The experience emphasised to me just how difficult a concept ’structured creative thinking’ is to articulate!
We are continually refining and adapting the strategy for the Centre and what it will do. We have formed an interim Advisory [...]

summary of activity 2006
Before we publish our annual accounts and report each year, we must first undergo an external audit overseen by the offices of the C&AG (Comptroller & Auditor General). This process is currently well underway for 2006. However, the process can be protracted, with the result that the annual report is usually not published until mid-year at the earliest.

want to sell in the north?
Have you ever thought about selling in the north? Our nearest trading partner is Northern Ireland (NI) but yet relatively few small businesses from the Republic of Ireland (ROI) proactively target the NI market. This is the main reason why MicroTrade (http://www.microtrade.org/) was set-up in 2004 – to help small businesses from the ROI sell into NI (and vice versa), [...]

role of the ceb
I was invited to present recently at the ‘Entrepreneurship & Marketing’ Conference hosted in Kilkenny by the Marketing Institute (www.mii.ie). This was a well attended event with some interesting speakers. I particularly enjoyed the provocative contribution of the keynote speaker – Liam Griffin (http://www.personallyspeaking.ie/speakerbios/LiamGriffin.htm). You could not have but been inspired by his very frank and [...]

nc4c
For the past 18 months or so, I have been involved along with Fergus Cronin of KIDCo (Kilkenny Industrial Development Company) and Keith Bohanna (Bohanna Consulting) in developing the concept of a National Centre for Creativity (nc4c) for Kilkenny to be based in the Maltings Enterprise Centre just off James Street in Kilkenny City.
Keith was commissioned [...]

We are currently sponsoring (along with our colleagues in Carlow CEB) the ‘bottom line’ radio programme on KCLR 96FM Radio. This is a half-hour show, which goes out every Tuesday evening @ 7.30pm and is presented by KCLR Chief Executive John Purcell.
It is a programme for business and about business, covering the issues affecting small business at the moment, profiling local entrepreneurs [...]
